About the Artwork

I paint from a life lived fully. A wonderful husband, three sons, a rich soundtrack of music that moves me, nature that stops me in my tracks, and landscapes in colour discovered around the world. Although I have studied art in its theory, my work is derived from feeling — not from teaching.

My body of work is founded in seeking joy, and explores organic movement, energy, and emotional connection. My brush strokes are free and flowing, and colours combine without overthinking or planning. There is a noticeable boldness in my work, but also a rawness — and a sense of detail that evolves intuitively.

I am an enthusiast and joyful optimist, and that is not incidental to my work — that is my work. Every piece carries an energy that has been building throughout a lifetime of making and dreaming. I attempt to find what is luminous in this world and hold it up to the light. It is my deepest wish that others view my work and feel inspired to cultivate their own joy and lightness, even when the world feels heavy.

My paintings are created with love, and offered with the hope of bringing vitality and openness to a space — an invitation to breathe, reflect, and celebrate.
